Happy April!
And no, this isn't an April fools joke. I'm back again- with a new fresh blog and a new fresh blog title. This time around its been hard for me to get back into blogging. I'll decide I want to blog, then decide I shouldn't and delete it- then decide again. I've worked my way into some cycles that I'm trying to work my brain out of. One of them being, when I decide to blog I for some reason feel the need to come back and explain why I left- why I am back- and that keeps me from having the motivation to start again. So, I'm not going to do that. I'm just going to say, hello, thank you for visiting! Thank you for reading, and if you're re-following again than you for that :) I'm always thankful to have blog friends, and once I meet you I'm reading behind you whether you see me or not! So without anything farther, I'm going to launch back into the blog world with one of my favorite Linkups Currently, with Coffee and Cocktails at the Casa :) Thanks so much for visiting today! Leave a comment and I'll follow (or refollow lol, I deleted my entire blogger profile so I'll be re-following as well!)
Currently in April I am...
Planting or hatching (literal or figurative – like planting an idea or hatching a plan)
I'm always excited when it's early in the year and I've gotten a head start! I did plant some tulips in my raised pot on my front porch and they are already leaving, so I'll need to plant something that will last for awhile this time. My lillies are sprouting up at the Barn, and that's super neat because I actually brought those with me here from our other home, so I'm going to call those my parsonage lillies, because I planted them when we lived in our first parsonage and they have came up every year here... BUT... Peaches, our favorite hen, decided to pluck them up on one side of the barn.. so I'm looking for some kind of fencing! We don't let them out much so I dunno how she did it so fast... but alas, I'll be planting this week hopefully!
I'm also working on some types of plants to put in pots around the swimming pool. I dunno how that's going to work, but I'm looking up some ideas.
I'm also working on my photography website. I stopped doing photography professionally years ago, actually it was twelve years ago when we moved and started into fulltime ministry. This weekend I was asked to do some photos at the Tarheel classic horse show in May, so I took my camera with me to the horse show this past weekend and I had a blast! I'm nervous, and relearning, dusting it off and trying to get back into the swing of it. But horse shows are more fun than weddings lol!
Cleaning (spring)
Of course I'm ready to start spring cleaning! We spent a couple of months decluttering, so now I want to wash down walls and windows. We did purchase a pressure cleaner so now we can do the outdoors cleanup, but I'm waiting for the pollen to die down a little so its not wasting my time. My honey-do list isn't quite as long as it was, but I do have some things I want done!
Eating and drinking
I am desperately off of my meal planning schedule. With the horse show this weekend and my Mom being in town we did eat out quite a bit, so now I need to slow down, settle back into home and start planning. I really want to try a juice/fruit and veggies cleanse soon- and I miss cooking! We have been doing more on the grill since the temperatures have been agreeable. I actually had Panda Express for the first time Friday, and it was so good! I don't know how I have missed out on it my entire life!
Reading and watching
I'm still working my way through my Jennie Allen books and Bible studies as we as a few other neuroplasticity reads. This is a post within itself so I'll share that later! Today we will be going to watch Super Mario Galaxy. My boys have looked forward to this for years.Loving
We went to see the Carolina Hurricanes last month, and I'm loving hocky! My boys have been Penguins fans for a long time, but I really enjoyed the game and have been following ever since. Go Canes!
Also, loving the horse show life! My girl came out of the show with a blue, a couple of red ribbons, a white and green! It was a big class and she's showing in the adult class now, so I'm so proud of her!!!
My boy has done great with some drama productions! He was a man from the 20s in our kids Easter play at church...
And earlier that morning he filled in as the disciple Phillip
I'm also loving my minimalistic spring decor! I LOVE all the flowers!!!
Happy Spring! I hope some of you will stick around and refollow, and send me your blog so I can do the same! SO good to visit with you today!
